FAQ all about VE7NFR:
  • Do you operate repeaters?  Yes, currently 11 of them.  See Repeater tab for details.
  • How do we get things done?  You want something done, you do it.
  • How do we pay for things?  You want something bought, you pay for it.
  • Do you drink coffee?  Yes but only in conjunction with actual radio operation.
  • Do you wear suspenders?  No, they are strictly forbidden as are matching shiny green jackets.
  • Do you experiment? Yes that’s our thing.
  • Where do you operate?  Where the air is rare like Digital Modes Allstar, Ham-WAN, DMR, NXDN, P25, D-Star & Mixed Mode 220 MHz, 440 MHz, 927 MHz, 1.2 GHz, linking on 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz and Pico Balloons using WSPR tracking.
  • Is it dangerous at those frequencies?  Yes, many of us have developed extra appendages & superpowers from radiation exposure.
  • Why on such obscure bands?  Because any idiot can operate on 2 Meters and many do.
  • Where do you get your gear?  We scour the 4 corners of a round Globe to find the finest tweak-able commercial gear that eBay offers, usually redundant Motorola & Kenwood trunking radios. Sometimes we splurge and buy brand new ones.
  • How do I get on your frequencies?  If we want you on our repeaters we probably have already been in touch with you. If you are clever enough to get on the air by yourself then you are most welcome and we probably will help you.
  • Why did you form a Club? We were frustrated with many of the other older organizations that have little interest in developing new aspects of our hobby and or the bureaucracy and politics as well as the resistance to change that stifles getting things done.
  • Where is VE7NFR?  We are everywhere we want to be all the time, sometimes in Cancun but primarily in Metro Vancouver, Canada although our Globalist agenda supports Transnationalism and The One World Government run by the Freemasons even though that Mason that runs the hardware store can't get his act together.
  • What is your favorite Coax?  LMR600 ULLLLLLLLLLTRAFLEX!
